Emergency First Aid at Work Course
This course is the HSE approved Emergency First Aid at Work Course. This course can be adapted to suit a particular work environment and is ideal for businesses deemed to be ‘lower risk’ in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. The course is run over one day and includes both theory and practical sessions, in a relaxed atmosphere, designed to boost a candidate’s confidence.
All our trainers are experienced healthcare professionals, ranging from paramedics to state registered nurses. The knowledge they possess puts us in the enviable position of being able to give the very best training to our clients.
The course syllabus includes:
- First Aid Priorities
- Managing incidents
- Basic life support
- Examination of a casualty
- Dealing with Unconsciousness
- Causes of Unconsciousness
- Control of Bleeding
- Burns and Scalds
- First Aid Kits
- Recording And Reporting
There is no formal examination on this course, however students will be continually assessed by their tutor. Those students who complete the course and are deemed competent are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. We will notify all students when their certificate is ready for renewal.
Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.

Appointed Persons – First Aid Course
We offer this one day Emergency First Aid Course designed for ‘low risk’ environments. This course is suitable for any business wanting to train their staff to deal with the common injuries and medical emergencies that could occur to staff in the course of their normal duties. The course can be adapted to suit a particular audience and is ideal for people requiring Appointed Person status, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.
The course is run over one day and includes both theory and practical sessions. We adopt a relaxed training atmosphere to promote candidate confidence.
All our trainers are experienced healthcare professionals, ranging from paramedics to state registered nurses. The knowledge they possess puts us in the enviable position of being able to give the very best training to our clients.

- The unconscious patient
- Examining a casualty
- Basic Life Support
- Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Diabetes, Heart Attacks and other related emergencies
- First Aid Kits
- Control of Bleeding
- Burns & Scalds
- Recording and Reporting

We are pleased to offer the First Aid at Work Course. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, approve this course.
Holders of the First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This course can be adapted to suit a client’s particular needs.
The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions. If required, we can run this course at weekends or, for example, one day a week for three weeks.
All our trainers are experienced healthcare professionals, ranging from paramedics to state registered nurses. The knowledge they possess puts us in the enviable position of being able to give the very best training to our clients.
The course syllabus includes:

Students are independently assessed on the final day of the course. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate that is valid for three years. We will notify all students when their certificate is ready for renewal.
